As a strong admirer of slow living, I believe these slow moments are truly worth living for! I would love to share this small part of my weekly routine that I look forward to every single week.
So, I drink a cup of coffee with milk in the mornings and a cup of black coffee in the afternoons, both without sugar, at work. Since I despise processed coffee creamer, I buy 500 ml of fresh milk at the beginning of every week and use a small portion each morning throughout the weekdays. By the end of the week, I always have enough milk left to make a big mug of rich and creamy coffee. I love this coffee, and it truly makes my day better. This is one of the simple joys in my life, and as I mentioned earlier, I look forward to starting the day slowly with this coffee and waiting for the weekend.
I know some of you might think this is silly and wonder why I can’t have a large mug of creamy coffee every single day. However, making the coffee requires 200 ml of milk, and since I have insulin resistance, I shouldn’t consume that much milk daily due to its higher glycemic index.
Over the years, I’ve changed my lifestyle to a healthier one, and I need to take care to maintain it. So, having a large mug of creamy coffee, even without sugar, is definitely an indulgence for me!
I hope you love reading this small blog about one of my simple joys in life! Of course, we all become happier when we achieve bigger and greater things, but life becomes so much more interesting when we learn to enjoy these simple pleasures and slow moments.
