A stern order this Covid situation has given us is to stay inside our homes. It’s possible on weekdays as we get swamped with multiple tasks. However, weekends remain pretty hard to manage, particularly when it comes to the entertainment area. The public places have been closed, and we cannot socialize, for our own good. The one thing I missed the most was going to the cinema. I’m a big-time movie buff, and I enjoy watching movies on the weekends.
I used to rely on my laptop to watch Netflix or Amazon until I stumbled upon the godsend known as Chromecast. The video streaming on TV was a game-changer, and I’m so glad and grateful. It’s absolutely cheap, and when you set the right ambience and have a good sound system at your home, you won’t, eventually, miss out on going to the movie theatres. I would love to share my easy-to-adopt weekend movie night routine with you.
Step 1:
Here’s a pro tip for your movie night: Get your snacks and drinks ready before starting the movie, as you don’t want to get up in the middle. I prefer some popcorn and fruit juice/water.
Step 2:
Create the ultimate cozy movie-watching haven by laying the carpet on the floor.
Don’t forget to grab your favorite blanket as well as pillows, to stay cosy and comfy.
Step 3:
Draw the curtains to block out any unwanted lights from outside.
Step4:
Turn the room lights off, so the only light in your room will be from the TV.
Step 5:
Turn on the fairy lights. I have already arranged my Christmas tree, and I always turn it on. Keep it lit for that extra touch of holiday sparkle!
Step 6:
Put on your favourite movie. If you have Chromecast, you can basically connect any video streaming to your TV.
There you go! Now you can have a magical movie night at home. Enjoy the show!
You don’t require extravaganza things to enjoy your weekend, and I wish I had done it sooner. I hope you enjoyed the blog and please let me know your comments below. Here’s to many more fantastic movie nights!
